What do you call a stair flight with stairsteps and a handrail that nevertheless is not used for climbing?
It is not uncommon that many people will use stairs outside a library as a makeshift seat, resting against the handrail in some cases.
In such situations, the stairsteps and the handrail are both introduced to a refreshing function. We converted the stairsteps into proper seats by extending them, while reducing the height of the handrail to make it the back of the seats. This stairs-like item that is not an “actual” flight of stairs is remodeled with new functions of stairs.

如果一个楼梯，有台阶和扶手，但不能用它来上楼，我们叫它什么呢？
在图书馆等建筑外，是否很多人在找不到座位时，会把台阶当成临时的坐具甚至依靠在扶手上。
在这样的情景下，台阶、扶手都有了全新的功能属性。因此，我们把楼梯的台阶扩大，变成可以坐的座面，将扶手与楼梯融为一体，并降低高度，适合人依靠。最终，这个看起来像楼梯，却不是楼梯的物体，重塑了一个“楼梯”的新功能。
